Party Time

L's second (and probably last:)) sleepover birthday party was last night. Seven screaming girls. My ears are still ringing. They had a great time. First off...pizza time!

Then presents and cake.

They made a necklace and bookmark and then watched a movie. They decided to tape Jeff up and draw on him. He's such a good sport.

I think the girls fell asleep around 3:30 am and were up by 9:15. Not enough sleep by me.

I'm always looking for something to motivate me to exercise. Currently it's Netflix on my iPad that I watch while walking/running. I'm hooked on Breaking Bad. It's a show where the main guy has lung cancer and he makes and sells meth to pay for his treatment.

My Newest Addiction

I love solitaire and a friend got me hooked onto golf solitaire. It's so fun and frustrating at the same time. You try to get rid of your cards and try to get the lowest score possible.

EEG Time

6 months after L was diagnosed with seizures it was time for another EEG. This one was better but not normal which is what I hoped/expected.

Mary thought it would be funny to mummify L for the test.

Drive In

Friday was our first trip to the drive in. The weather was gorgeous. We watched 'Oz' and 'Wreck it Ralph'. Both good movies. We will be at the drive in often this summer.

Book Hangover

I'm having book hangover again. I finished 'Gone Girl' by Gillian Flynn last week. What a twisted book!! Once I got into the story, I couldn't put the book down. But the ended wasn't wonderful. In fact, (without giving anything away), it was downright disappointing and creepy at the same time. And for several days after I was finished with the book, I still couldn't start another one. I have a hard time getting into the next book I'm reading and I don't think it's because it is a bad book. Random thoughts pop in my head, like "really, she did that?".
Luckily my hangover feeling is subsiding so I can get into 'The Longest Race' this weekend.

L and I ran in a race today. Mine was a 5K and L ran 200 yards.

Tutu Time

Last night I spent making tutus for L and I to use in our race today. L's was purple and blue and mine was pink and purple. I found the instructions on Pinterest (my favorite place to go).
