I Got my Red Bow!

We got a 2011 VW Routan this week and as part of the deal, I asked to have my photo taken with one of the bows. I know, corny.

Atticus. He's Misha's cat and she brought him home for the weekend. He was a stray and with some love and food, he's turned into a beautiful cat.


Lily: she was grumpy. Having Atticus around means less attention for Lily.

Turkey Trot

This was my first time coaching a new runner. Ragan's daughter is in Girl Scouts so we talk about running a lot. I roped her into the 10 miler this am. It was freaking cold!!! 20 degrees. Luckily not much wind. I was so happy she finished. I hope she still likes me. :)

I love my crockpot. A nice flank steak, tomatoes, onion, jalapeño and some spices. Made the house smell good all day! And they were delicious!

This is one of my favorite breakfasts. Chobani Greek yogurt, protein granola and lots of fruit. Today it was bananas, pomegrante seeds and pears.

Blankies!

Today I took on a new project. I bought fleece to make blankets. I wasn't sure I could make them but my friend said it was easy and explained. I also watched a tutorial on how to make them.


Of course, L's was first. Cut out strips then tie. It really was that simple.


She loves it!

Carrot has been begging me to play out of his cage. And yes, he begs. He squeals every time I come in his room and feeding him doesn't make it stop. Today I let him out and he had free range in L's room. Then she decided she wanted to watch him while she laid on her couch. Reggie jumped at the opportunity to hang with them. She loves Carrot.

Our New Wheels

As you may know, Jeff loves cars. I enjoy them as well. We decided to pare down and sell two cars and trade in one. We bought a 2012 Hyundai Veloster. It's very sporty and zippy. We love it! In fact, Jeff and I discuss which days I'm allowed to drive it since it's his car.









There's even a 3rd door for L. It's a win win!!

Hooky Morning

Since we didn't go to bed until 2:45 AM, there was no way we were going to get up in time for school. So I did what any good mother would do....I called her absent. I slept until 10 AM. Got up, read the paper, got ready. Woke up L at 11. Then we headed to Jason's for lunch before we headed to school/work. It was great!

Midnight Game

We all stayed up late to watch the Shockers play western Kentucky. Tip off was 11:59 pm on 11/11. It was a great game (Shocks won). The energy was unbelievable.

Inspire Hope Run

I ran my first 8K today. The day was beautiful! The course was flat. For those of you that don't know, 8K is 5 miles. I was proud of my time. 58:20. That's 11:30 min/mile!
