I got a cut and color Saturday. It's streaked red. Everyone loves it. I'm on the fence.

This is what a normal EEG looks like. L is finally seizure free. She stay on medicine for another 2- 2 1/2 years. But this news is awesome!

L's dance team got first place and entertaining awards in hip hop! They were so excited!

Last night we tried a new place where one of Jeff's students works. It was so good. Jeff and L had fried fish and shrimp and I opted for applewood salmon. It had a great marinade. The hush puppies were delish. We will definitely be back.

RIP Carrot

Sweet Carrot. You lived 3 1/2 years. My favorite memory was your siren when I'd walk up the stairs so I would know you "needed" me to feed you. You and Reggie were a team. Always ganging up on me.
You loved carrots, Brussels sprouts, and grapes. And you loved L most of all. You were a great snuggler and great at waking L up in the morning. You were the most social pig I've know. I'm sorry you were old but I'm happy you are at peace.
Thanks for waiting until we were all home to spend your last breaths together.

Birthday Celebration

Amongst the craziness of basketball tourney time, we fit in a little celebration for the 9 year old.
Steak, deviled eggs and pasta salad were requested by the birthday girl.

Birthday Sleep over

Last night, L invited A over to sleep at a hotel. They had their own room and tv and were so excited. We started off with Braum's.



Then they swam.


And finished in the hot tub.


I think they were up til 2 watching movies. We had breakfast at the donut whole. Busy times!!

Earlier this week (when I couldn't post anything), we went to my favorite place, Los Palmos. I've been wanting to try a Margarona and I did. It's a margarita with a Corona. It was okay and too much to drink so next time I'll stick with a small margarita.

It's a Baker Weekend

The Shockers are 34 and 0 and won the MVC championship. Ron Baker and the team were great.
I also did some "baking" this weekend.
Nutella swirled banana bread:


Banana pudding cups (the shell is a sugar cookie):


And Rolo chocolate crinkles.





I also made chicken taquitos (they were fair) and baked chicken with a balsamic mayo marinade and bread crumb crust. And hard boiled eggs, couscous and quinoa. My dishwasher is getting a workout.

It's a Donut Whole Kind of Day

On today's menu (left to right): maple bacon, cinnamon roll, hot cocoa, sunshine crush, chocolate malt and Go Shox. All delish.

I Did It!!

I am so proud of myself. When I finished running this am, my van reported a low tire. Normally, I would beg to Jeff to fix this as I have a horrible fear I'm filling it up wrong and the tire will explode in my face. But today, I stopped at Kwik Shop, bought a tire gauge for $2.99, figured out which tire was low and filled it with air. And it worked!!!

South girls won 63-21. It was fun to watch.

L and Jeff went to Jimmie's Egg for lunch. While they were there, L spotted Early and Lufile-two senior WSU basketball players. She went up to them all by herself and asked for a photo. They were happy to oblige. She was soooo happy!
