So L got sent to bed at 9 tonight (last night she wouldn't go to bed and I threatened to send her to bed at 9 the next night. She says "I don't care". But she cared when I followed through tonight.
But I got to spend the evening watching Franklin and Bash and reading. Ahhhh.

Fun in KC
Mary and I decided to take the girls for a quick day trip to KC. our stops included the Farmers Market and Trader Joes.
Here's a couple shots of the market. It was awesome. I got flowers, tomatoes, zucchini, green beans, honey, mangos, potatoes, and lemons/limes for less than $40.
L got her face painted.
Lunch at the market. Phu was authentic and great.

Map My Run
This is the 6 mile run I did this morning. I love to run outside but in light of the fact of people I know (and don't know) being killed while running, I've decided to be proactive. I don't run with a phone because I hate to carry it so I leave a note with my run directions, when I left and how long it will take. At least that gives Jeff some direction if I'm not home on time.

Sunday=homework day
Today was a quiet day. We slept in late (we were at the drive in until 1 am), went to Towanda to have pizza and check out an antique store. I spent the afternoon and evening working on my lecture on epilepsy. I'm giving a 90 minute lecture to a school nursing convention. My speech was written but I had to use PowerPoint to put it together (my first time ever). It's a fun program.
After dinner we went to the park and then to Cold Stone for ice cream (since it is National Ice Cream Day). I can't believe the work week is ready to start.

She and Me Sleepover
Friday night L and I went to a Girl Scout sleepover. We had so much fun. We made candles for our craft, took a hike and played bingo. The night started off hot, but cooled down quickly.
At dark, we had smores by the fire and sang songs. Then we went back to the Lodge and the girls watched Camp Rock while I fell asleep. It was a great night!

Fifty
I know, you have been wondering where I've been. Sadly or happily, I've been lost in two books: Fifty Shades of Grey and Fifty Shades Darker.
Wow. The first book was so good, I started the second one at work. No, I'm not in it for the sex scenes. I'm rooting for Ana and I always want to know what's going to happen to her next.
I've heard people complain about the author's poor writing. I had just finished a really intricate and difficult book so I loved the smoothness of these books.
So there's one book left in the series but I'm going to take a short break. From Fifty, not from blogging.

Recap Minneapolis
I had so much fun in Minneapolis. I loved every minute of it. I was so happy to spend the time with our good friends. I felt like the vacation was one adventure after another. My favorite part was shopping at Mall of America. What an awesome mall! It's been ages since I went on vacation and came back exhausted!!

4th of July
The last day of my vacation. I filled up the fridge, fixed fried chicken, deviled eggs and watermelon. The Loving's, Nagy's and Marusiak's came over for lunch and a swim. Then we headed to the Loving's for supper and fireworks. L had a great time (as usual).
Helping daddy light fireworks.

Day 4
We have been so busy that I slept through this morning's alarm. So we started an hour late. Oh well. Breakfast was at The Bad Waitress. Interesting place. You write your food order, take it to the counter and then the waitress bring your food. It was okay.
We spent the day at Water Park of America with a quick stop to IKEA (I love that place).
The water park was fun. It wasn't busy so we went on tons of slides. The kids had a wonderful time. Jeff went "surfing".
Supper was at Black Sheep Wood Pizza. It was wonderful. We had meatball and ricotta pizza. De-lic-ious!!!!

Day 3
Today we ate breakfast then headed to downtown to see the two story Target.
After, we drove 2 1/2 hours north to Duluth, MN to see Lake Superior. We took a boat ride around the lake, walked around and ended up at Mexico Linda's for supper.
Dessert was at the local malt shoppe. It was delicious.
