Caturday: 9/26/2020

I don’t have much this week. I’m not sure why. It went super fast.  I will call this a win that Scully and Lucy are sleeping together on the same blankie!

Reflection on Justice Ginsburg’s Death

I was heartbroken Friday night when I discovered that RBG passed away. Although not unexpected, I was really praying she would survive through the election.

Justice Ginsburg was a warrior. She fought for equality for all people, women, LGBTQ and minorities. We should all give thanks to her hard work and life long dedication to our country. She is a true patriot.

I’m glad she is at peace. I pray our government will postpone confirming a new justice until after the election, no matter who wins. That would be what is right.

I leave with these words:

Caturday: the escape edition

See this cute cat? Well, she has a naughty streak.

And she throws fits when she doesn’t get to go outside.

Yesterday was gorgeous. We sat out on the patio and sipped on sodas while chatting about our days. The girls were having a great time. Scully jumped up on the trampoline and then AJ did the same. But then AJ jumped and walked the top of the fence and DROPPED DOWN INTO THE NEIGHBOR’S YARD!!!
So while supper is cooking (macaroni boiling) I have to walk out of our court to the next one and ring their doorbell to ask to go in their yard. She was so happy to    prance around someone else yard. She tried to climb back over when she saw me and was successful until I swiped her back because I was NOT chasing her again.

She does not look sorry at all.

This Week’s Book: Don’t Lick the Minivan

Audible now has a bunch of free books and so I was perusing the selections and ran across this gem. The reviews were everywhere but I thought it might be fun.

I haven’t laughed this hard while listening to an audiobook for awhile. It is a family with twins. The story teller (and her voice which is dropped with sarcasm) makes all the stories that her twins do laughable. Stories of Thailand, adventures in Canada and day to day life make this a fast read.  Enjoy!

Monday Musing week 38

Today L came to work to do her remote schooling. She needed a change up. We had fun and she worked hard.

Scully rarely lays on my lap. It was so nice. Although she was hot!

She’s so sweet!

It’s Official!

Lauryn has started her sophomore year of HS! She’s not thrilled to be doing remote and neither are we. This pandemic sucks the life out of you one way or another. But I’m grateful we have all been healthy and hopefully after a few weeks, they can go back in person.

Back to School

It was the longest spring break ever.  After 5 1/2 months, kids will be back to school. Now, mine is in high school so the BOE said she needs to work remotely for 9 weeks. Boo.  But we will do what needs to be done in COVID times. She’s hooked up with a computer, ear buds and ready to rock it out tomorrow!

Here’s a gem to end this post:

Caturday 9/5/2020

School starts next week. I’m not sure why, but when there’s a big change in season at our house, I go silent. Sorry about that.

The best thing this week is that Scully and AJ got to go outside for supervised outdoor time.  Scully loves it. In the past AJ would be skittish but she had a blast.

They got up here all by themselves!
