Wildcat Attempt

I made frosted sugar cookies for the first time (as a mom). I was pretty proud of myself. L even helped me fix a problem when they didn't really look like wildcats. Next up: making a pie.

Wet iPhone=Sad Kathryn

Today I dropped my phone in the toilet.  Luckily a low flow toilet and it was clean.  I heard the thunk and immediately got it out.  The speakers had water so I put it in rice for 4 hours and I thought it was working well.

Then I realized the phone isn't working.  Everything else works-imessaging, apps, etc.  But no calling/receiving calls and no texts.  What a bummer.

Back in the rice it goes.  Say a little prayer it survives!

Cookie Peddling

We are in the middle of Girl Scout cookie selling. It's been fun so far. I wish the weather would cooperate more. It's nice on days we can't go because of another commitment, but cruddy on days we go. Yesterday, we went through the neighborhood and she sold 14 boxes in an hour! She was much more confident than 2 weeks ago when we went.

Beautiful!!!!

I walked into work Monday and my flowers from my dad were gorgeous. The tulips bloomed.

I love Gerber daises.

Subject to Torture

Oreo says he's being tortured when L dances with them. I say it's payback for all the mischief he creates.

Great Grandma's Birthday

We spent yesterday in C ville. Great grandma is turning 87. We had a nice lunch out and visited all day. L got a foot massage (she says grandma is the best).

L tried to be Dolly Parton. What a goof.

I need some good running weather.

Yummy Supper

Tonight we ate at my dad's favorite restaurant (not), Red Robin. I had a delicious salt and pepper burger.

L looks much happier than we got there. Her capped molar came out tonight and freaked her out.

Date Night

While L was out with a friend, Jeff and I tried a new place called Deano's. It was good. A fancy bar and grill. They serve soft pretzels as a side (my favorite kind of snack). I had a BBQ cheeseburger and Jeff had fish and chips. They were delish.

Eight Inches of Snow

The snow finally stopped last night. 8 inches of snow and freezing temps led to another snow day. I think it was bad-even Lucy didn't want to go out this am. She tried to hide under the covers and asked Jeff to protect her!!!

I had a short day. I left at 3:30, went to Go Run, Target and Walgreens and I was home by 5! I love these days. I shoveled the walk and part of the driveway. I hate getting my feet soaked with snow when I get the paper.

My half a$$ snow shoveling job.

The high for today was 8 (not including the wind chill).

It's Snowing!

All day it's snowed. No school for the hubs or daughter. Sadly, Jeff has the flu. L spent the day in her pjs watching tv, napping. She and I rode bikes indoors as I got off work early. Chicken and noodles and Big Bang Theory reruns finished this day.

Snickers chex mix.

Saturday Fun

We woke up to see everything covered in ice. While I would have loved to snuggle under the covers, the pups needed to go to the vet for their yearly checkup.

Oreo was a barky grump. Lucy was good. Oreo gained 1.8 pounds and now is at an ideal weight. Thank goodness! We have worked hard.
Then we headed out to watch WSU win their 23rd game!

Jeff and I were Pizza Hut fans of the game. We got a $20 gift card. Pretty cool.

The day ended with home cooked ribs, cleaning and taking down Christmas.
