My Poor Blog

I know I've been neglectful these past two months. Life has been so busy and I'm trying to live in the moment. I have several posts that I hope to be posting soon so try to hold tight!

Sweet Escape 10K

Sunday, I walked with Kasey and Ragan for Kasey's first race ever!!! I was so excited for her. Sweet escape is a women's only race in town and the swag was cute! The bad part was it started at 5 pm and it was 80 degrees outside. I had invited the Konda's over for supper so I made salads and cookies before I left and put Jeff in charge of grilling.
Here we are at the start:

Kasey did great. We finished in under 2 hours and she made it through! Our metal is a cute wine stopper.

And we got Coco Dolce chocolate.
When we got home, dinner was ready! And we were ready for a well deserved margarita!

Poor Reggie

Yesterday was not a good day, in Reggie's opinion. I'm not sure why. I woke up by 8 am, fed her and opened L's blinds and fluffed up the blankets so she could be comfy. But she spent the majority of the afternoon, bellyaching about not having treats. She meows repeatedly and comes down the stairs. Somehow I didn't realize her treats were empty. I knew she had a bag upstairs but I was busy. Working. So I petted her and talked to her and Jeff did the same. She was grumpy.

This is her pathetic face.

Finally I had time to break and find her treats and I discovered she got fed up and went back to bed.

Poor girl. She was in a much better mood this morning.

18 Holes of Fun

We are thinking of joining a golf club. Nothing spectacular, but we want to commit to go golfing and decided this would be the best way. There's a course in Newton which is right up our alley. It's nice but not super fancy. There wasn't a ton of traffic (which is good because we aren't that good). Best of all, we all had fun!
Of course we had to take a selfie!

Jeff and I played the second nine better than the first. We needed to get the rust off!

L did pretty well also. She gave up on some holes but never got upset.

10 Miler

On Saturday morning, I set out to do 10 miles. My goal was to have a nice long run. I dropped off the Element to get an oil change and started off north.
My run was super! It rained a little which made the country part of my run smell so good. I combined some city and some country roads which is great for scenery.

It was overcast the entire run which is nice. I kept my 90:60 the entire 10 miles and was very proud of myself.

I even had a negative split! It was nice to get out and run.
