Things that Make Me Smile

1. L laughing

2. My puppies when I come home from work

3. A clean house

4. Rainbows

5. Hot air balloons.
This was my view on the way to the farmers market (another thing that makes me smile).

Hanging with the Big Girls

L loves to hang with her favorite sisters (E and K). They are the sweetest girls. They also happen to be L's principal's kids.

My Favorite Place

I love our library. I went there yesterday when I was stressed out. I picked up a couple books I had held and found some others. This place puts my mind at ease immediately.

Practice Makes Perfect

In between innings, L asked her daddy to help her practice hitting.

Love the sunset.

Dance Week

It's dance week! L spent Tuesday and Wednesday in block time. That's a run thru of her dance in regular dance clothes.

Patiently waiting.

Rain and More Rain

It rained off and on all weekend. On Sunday night, the host warned us we would have an hour before the rain showed up. We got to working on supper, but the rain showed up in 30 min. The boys know how to improvise.

Late night Phase 10 game was enjoyable.

Sign of a good camping trip.

The Kids

We had 8 kids camping and they were so good! Casey and Brett took a break and watched videos.

Ember is a goof!

Dad and L working on his plane.

Beauty

I love walking around Fall River. The scenery is gorgeous.

The lake.

Camping Time!

We arrived at Fall River on Friday afternoon. The rain held off while we pitched the tents and got unpacked. Soon it was supper time!

Look at all that meat. Delish!!!

Karleigh decided my cooler was a good place to draw on with chalk. Silly girl.

Nite time quiet.

Tempo Time

I got a great run in last Thursday morning. It was a hot one. I walked in the house with sweat pouring off me.

First and Last Day as a 3rd Grader

L officially ended her year as a 3rd grader on Thursday. What a great year it was. We loved her teacher.

Scorekeeping

Tonight I got to be Scorekeeper. It was intense and fun. Our girls played so well. They won 14-2.

Outdoor Work

So we have one section of our backyard that we are turning from trash to treasure-an outdoor kitchen. First, we must get rid of the trash.

Before:

Any kind of junk, we dumped over here.

Two HS boys cleaned it up. The dumpster was packed when they were done.

After:
So much nicer. The pups aren't as happy because they liked the adventures. But Lucy decided it was a good place to roll in the dirt. Sigh.

The Yankees Won!

The girls hit, pitched and fielded great tonight! L used a new stance Jeff taught her and she got on base 2 out of 3 times.

Final score: 8-7.

L's New Digs

For quite some time, L has wanted a new bed. She doesn't like how tall her bed is and the animals can't sleep with her.
We found the bed last weekend. And the pups and kitty have enjoyed it. Today I had a chance to get her room put together (so the guest room is usable again).

The bed: it has drawers in the front and side and gives her plenty of space for clothes. There are cubbies where she has placed her animals.

The wall of animals. Geesh.

Closet and organized jewelry.

Her desk. Huge enough to give her space to draw and fit the computer. Found it hidden in the garage. (Score!)

See? Even Reggie likes the steps and bed. She likes hanging out.

Now a Junior

Today L went through her bridging ceremony from Brownies to Juniors. They had a nice little program.

Then we headed outside for the bridging.

L got a pin and diploma.

The whole gang.

At a luau.

Besties.

Joanna and Brandon

On of my co workers, Joanna, got married today. It was so beautiful and simple.

She is one of the nicest people I know. I'm so excited for her happiness.

It Was a Cold One

The first softball game of the season was last night. And it was COLD!!! Oh my. 56 degrees and 20 mph winds.
The girls tied 0-0. They pitch to each other so it's a little challenging.

Playing at second base.

She swings and hits the ball!!!

She made it to first!
