We had a wonderful vacation!!! Here's a recap of last week's chase:
1) run daily. yes!!!! I kept up my streak.
2) stretch daily. No- only about 4 days.
3) write in my planner daily. yes! And I'm so glad. It will make scrapbooking easier and my memories are in there!
4) have fun. Yes!!!! We had a great time!!!!

This week's goals:
1) continue running daily
2) stretch daily. I have to get this done.
3) write in my planner daily. I am really enjoying this.
4) make a to do list daily. I find I am more productive when I have a list of things that need to get done.
5) quit eating L's leftovers. I realized on my vacation that I wasn't eating her leftovers and I picked that habit back up when we got home. I have to stop this bad habit.
6) moisturize. My heels look awful.
7) start an evening prep routine. This includes writing in my planner, making my to do list and prepping for tomorrow.

Whew! That's quite a list.

Fitness Friday: 6/26/15

I kept up with my running challenge this week. It wasn't as hard as I thought it might be and actually refreshing.
Saturday: mile in Columbia, MO. Big hills

Sunday: Cincinnati. Hot and hilly.

Monday: Chicago. We were in a busy industrial area so I opted to run the treadmill. I was super fast!

Tuesday: another treadmill mile.

Wednesday: last treadmill mile in Chicago.

Thursday: Detroit. Ran along the river. It was cloudy and cool.

Friday: Detroit. Sunny and 63. Awesome since its boiling at home. Another run along the river.

Detroit!

We got into Detroit late Wednesday. We were greeted by this gigantic tire.

We stayed at The Riverwalk Hotel. It was redone from Parke Davis. It was a really nice hotel and different than where we usually stay.

The main attraction: the Tigers game.

The ballpark was nice. I had a pout one dog. Hot dog with fries and cheese curds slathered in brown gravy. It was good. Jeff's was even better- a coney quesadilla. A hot dog slathered in cheesy meat sauce inside a tortilla and grilled. Yum-ola!!

The Tigers lost. We still had fun. We walked to Hard Rock Cafe, had supper and then found an excellent bakery for dessert. 18 ball parks down, 12 to go!!

Last Day in Chicago

We started off the day with lunch at Ed's. Diner food but the staff is supposed to be rude. It was so much fun. They also dance on the counter top.

Jeff's big Dog. He couldn't finish it!

Then we walked to burn off our calories. Magnificent Mile and lots of places to shop!!

More Chicago

We continued on our adventure Tuesday. We found a local joint for breakfast. It was yummy. Then we did some outlet shopping. I love me a good sale.

Next up: Chinatown. Fun! Not as crazy and chaotic as San Fran so it was almost more fun.

Then we headed to watch the Cubs and Dodgers play. We ate at Lucky's-a local sandwich place where Man vs Food was at. It was sooooo good.

Play ball!! Too bad the Dodgers lost 1-0 in 10 innings.

Day 2 in Chicago

Today on the agenda was Shedd Aquarium, Sears Tower (now the Willis Tower) and pizza. We even rode the bus. We were impressed with how nice it was to walk around and bus system.
The otters were so cute! This guy sat and cleaned himself the whole time we watched him.

Gorgeous starfish

Pretty sweet shoes over the road

Navy Pier

We had so much fun our first night in Chicago. We went to Navy Pier. We got drinks to go! Fun thing to do since that doesn't happen at home.

Beautiful skyline.

Cincinnati Chili

Before we left Cincinnati yesterday we stopped to have Cincinnati chili. It was really good. Different than I'm use to but very good.

Cincinnati!

We drove from Columbia, MO to Cincinnati on Saturday. We rested for a bit and then headed to the Reds game. Parking was impressively easy and we got to the park just in time for the doors to open.
Downtown skyline:

We always walk a loop around the park to check everything out. I love this view of the River.

There's a nice kid zone.

The mascots were cool but didn't do much once the game started.

There's a mini grocery store in the park. Nice!! I should have had some fruit.

Hard to see but this building is fashioned after Mr. Red

The Reds lost but we still had a great time.

Summer Vacation!

We are traveling the Midwest (and yes, my house is armed and I have a sitter so don't bother messing with it)!!
The trip begins....

Joe's Crab Shack in KC. Man, the crab was delicious!!!

L's New Room

We cleaned up L's room and moved the desk and bed around. We discovered we could leave the dresser out and give L a hidey hole.

I like having the dresser separate.

Reggie approves of the secret spot.

I would like to do homework while looking out the backyard.
