I love reading! This book was fantastic! It was about Colin’s journey across Antarctica. He walked solo 500+ miles carrying his sled.  It was an amazing journey and what he realized about himself. 

What’s Up with Us Wednesday

Hello again! I’m on a roll. So what’s up with us? Well, we are home. A. Lot.  It’s weird. Jeff and L are adapting well to the changes in this world. Jeff is still teaching and L is doing some online work. I am still working in the office but seeing less patients. Some days it’s nice, some days it is stressful because there is so much time on our hands. Hopefully, life will change soon. 

Time to Cook Tuesday!

Hello my friends! On Tuesdays, I’m going to post a recipe or talk about food in some fashion. I cook about 4 nights a week normally and with COVID, it’s been 5-6 nights a week. I enjoying fixing supper and having a meal with Jeff and Lauryn.  One of our favorite recipes comes from a friend, Stefanie. It’s a healthy cheeseburger soup (although I leave out the healthy word when I tell the fam what we are having). Easy to fix and so delicious with leftovers to boot!

Metal Monday: Recap of Heartland 50k

A year ago I became an ultramarathoner. The 50k ended up being a little over 31 miles. It was one of the hardest things I’ve done. The first half was pleasant and gorgeous and then we turned around (it was an out and back) and met 40 mph winds for 16 miles. It was so brutal. But I made it! With the help of my three best friends. It’s a day I will never forget. I had PTSD for months after-if it was too windy, I would panic. But I can say I’m over that now!  And after a year of running A LOT, I’m really enjoying running again.

AJ has been soooo needy! She loves to crawl up in my lap and lay so close!
