Camping Clan...

Okay...last post for the day (and sorry some pictures need to be roatated. I need to work on my computer skills)
Seven families put together for four days. Some of us have known each other for nine years, others for five weeks. We had a wonderful time despite the rain. We had great meals and lots of laughs. Till next year!!

Bridges

I am not a huge history fan, but I love architecture and I love old bridges. They are so cool and unique. This bridge was outside of our camping area near the dam.

Camping Rocks!

Camping rocks!! Before I met Jeff, the only camping I had done was at Rock Springs Ranch in a cabin. I was a little leary at first, but after our first trip 8 years ago, I was hooked!

The kids had a great time playing games like jenga, washers and cards. They also had a DVD player to keep them entertained. G and L watched Dora over and over and over....

L loves T's boat. She was a little scared at first when we went out on the water, but after 15 minutes, she was having fun. After we got back, she wanted to keep playing on his boat. She loves to "drive".

L made several new friends. This includes two beautiful white Huskies, Chewy and Hudson. L is checking Chewy out. They were buddies...L would feed Chewy and he'd eat it all! She loved to pet him and give him hugs. She's such a dog lover!! Unfortunately, Hudson was ill and passed away the day after our trip was over.

Summer fun...

I love spring and summer. I love green grass, fresh flowers, drive in movies and longer days. We love to eat a simple dinner, then hang out in the yard visiting and playing. Summer wouldn't be complete without swimming (the pool is almost ready) and popsicles. L and Jeff enjoy the first summer popsicle. L thought the Fear Factor popsicles were yummy...Jeff and I weren't so sure.

Being a Mother

I love being a mother. I'm very lucky to have such a fun, loving girl. L makes us laugh every day. She comes up with new words and sayings all the time. The best part about being a scrapbooker is at her age, she knows how to make a cheesy smile and also say, "no picture mommy" when she wants to be left alone.

The World of Blogging

At the nudge of my good friends, I am attempting to break into the world of blog. This should be an interesting adventure and hopefully a way to keep my family and friends updated on our lives on a more regular basis.

This weekend we went on our annual memorial day campout. We tried a new campground....Fall River. This place is beautiful and only 1 1/2 hours away from home. We had lots of fun despite the fact it rained EVERY DAY!!! I like rain, but boy it gets depressing. I could never live in Seattle. We went boating (fun and scary at the same time), fishing, walking, eating and drinking. We hung out with old and new friends and shared lots of stories around the campfire. What a great weekend for us!!
