What’s Up With Us 7/22/2020

Well, as we have been most of 2020, we are in a holding pattern. We aren’t vacationing, we are waiting on when/if/how school will open. As most of you know, patience is  not my virtue. And I’ve had to work a lot on my patience skill. Maybe next week I’ll have something more fun to talk about.

Time to Eat! What I Made Today

For supper we had Six Sisters Malibu chicken. OMG!! It’s so good. I cut my recipe in half. It was super easy. I let the rub sit on the chicken while L and I worked out. So delicious and healthy!

Monday Musings: summer staycation

This summer has been weird just like the rest of 2020. If I’m being honest, 2020 can suck it. I have been sad...events cancelled all over the place, tragedies with friends. It’s just sucked. 

Okay, trying to move on. This year we didn’t go on vacation. No places to go. But it has made me appreciate the little things. We have used our pool so much more. It’s nice to get off at 5, run a couple
Of errands and still be done with supper by 7.  

We are going to KC soon for the day. It will be good to get out of the house for the day.

Caturday 7/18/2020


We got a new Costco box and Scully climbed in the bottom box while Jeff put another one on top. AJ was very curious about this. 

But when she stood on the box, a weird cry was emitted. This was very confusing. We had to put treats on there so I could take a picture. 

Scully was not amused at all. 😂

Caturday 7/4/2020

The girls are ALWAYS up to something. Scully has been taking field trips out in there (with supervision). She thinks it’s the best thing ever!

The problem is when I want her to come in, I have to chase her for 10 minutes. She can run when she’s determined!!

Fitness Friday 7/3/2020

Half of the year is gone! It feels like forever until I think of this. Here’s my week of workouts:

Saturday: it was a 4.5 mile run. 8x 400m run. Nice to sleep a little and run a little. 


Sunday: PILATES! I am getting stronger again. I love this one hour class.  

Monday: 3.5 mile run. It was humid and hot. 


Tuesday: I was supposed to run yo yo fartleks but I hit the wrong workout and ended up doing intervals 🤦🏼‍♀️  I couldn’t figure out why I couldn’t go further. 


Wednesday: I did Opti fit. It was good to lift but I wasn’t comfortable in a group class. But it gave me courage to lift solo. 

Thursday: sleep in day. 

Friday: I got my long run out of the way. 9 miles. It was hot then breezy. I didn’t fuel right. But I got it done!

It’s July!

Oh my gawd. This year has been sooooo long.  And every month it’s something new. 
January: Australia burned
February: lots of “flu” going around 
March: Covid 19 and the world shut down 
April: continued from March 
May: murder hornets. 
June: police brutality and a deadly dust storm. 
July: flying snakes. 

PEOPLE! I cannot handle all of this chaos. I really feel like we are in the Hunger Games and I would have appreciated a heads up. 

In other news...We get a three day weekend for the holiday. I’m going to run 9 miles Friday am and then sit on my butt in the pool the rest of the weekend.
