What a
whirlwind weekend we had. L and I drove to KC to visit Jill and Adam Friday. This was after L had a 102 degree fever the day before. But lots of rest made her better and we had a great weekend. We started it off by eating at Five Guys with Jill and Betsy. The place reminds me of Dads, the best burger place in
Doo-
dah (unfortunately it is closed). Great burgers and the fries were excellent.
We got up early Saturday and ran a couple errands. Went to
Archiver's and bought a few :) Doodlebug Design items. Then we headed to Lawrence. My childhood friend, Tara, got married. L was so excited to go to a wedding, but 5 minutes after sitting down, she says, "this is boring. Can we go now?" Uh...no. The wedding was beautiful and I am so happy she has found her love.
The reception was out at Tara's parents home. We had a delicious dinner that even L enjoyed.

If you look hard, you can see the bride (she has a blue wrap on).

Instead of cake, they frosted 1000 cupcakes! It was such a cute idea!

After the reception, we headed back to KC and hung out with Betsy and Minnie. L loves Minnie. We can't wait to get one of her siblings! It was a great weekend and we had so much fun together.
