Fitness Friday Oct 30

Another week in the books!  Halloween and Red Ribbon week made for an interesting week with school for L.  The mornings are definitely more crisp when running.

Saturday: ran 10:07 for my mile.  Walked with the ladies.

Sunday: ran with my friends for 8.54 miles.  Our first mile was the fastest (10:26) and I thought my lungs were going to jump out of my chest-it was only 40 degrees to start.

Monday: back to campus and Shocker Fitness.  Mile (10:47)

Tuesday: We are loving our new route.  Mile 11:06

Wednesday: Campus (10:03) and Shocker Fitness and Extreme

Thursday: Bradley Fair (11:01) and a 3.2 mile walk

Friday: 10:50 mile around the track followed by Shocker Fitness

Weekly Chase: Oct. 26th- Nov. 1

This week was a good one.  I am feeling stronger with my running.  I also feel so much better since my cold is gone.

1) Run. Yes!  I had a great 8.5 mile run Sunday. L

2) Stretch and ice.Yes! And guess what? My foot pain is gone with daily icing and stretching.  Yea!!

3) Carb cycling.Yes! I started this on Wednesday and in 5 short days, I feel good.  Nutritious food makes me feel so much better.

4) Read.Yes! I am 2/3 way through ' In an Unlikely Event' by Judy Blume.  It's a good book but there are too many characters and it's really long (400 pages).

5) Halloween. I need to help L finish her costume and plan out the school party I'm in charge of. Sort of.  L's Halloween costume is done. I haven't done a lot on the party.

This week's goals:

1) Continue running.  I want to continue my running streak.

2) Stretch and ice: one week of this and I feel so much better so I am keeping this up!

3) Read: I want to finish my current book and one exciting book on the horizon.

4) Prep for Halloween party: on Friday, L has a party that I am in charge of (oh why did I sign up to be PTA mom?!)

5) Do one thing a day that I'm dreading.  My Passion planner says "get the worst task done by 9 am".  That won't likely happen since that's when my day starts, but I will tackle a "grown up" job each day.

Fitness Friday Oct 23

Look! I've made the correct post on the correct day. It's been a busy yet productive week. I continue to get into a rhythm of getting our lives organized. Here's my fitness week:

Saturday: one mile (10:20) by myself.  I was finally starting to feel better, but I wanted to sleep in.

Sunday: Deena and I ran 6 miles.  Fastest mile was 10:26.  My foot hurt some so we walked for a bit in the end.

Monday: I was the only one in my group at Shocker Fitness.  I decided to run the track for my mile (10:02).  It was chilly out-54 degrees and 20 mph winds.

Tuesday: the group was back together.  Still windy but warmer.  10:42 for the mile

Wednesday: 9:58 for my mile! It's been awhile since I've gotten under 10.  I've been icing my Achilles and now my foot pain is better.

Thursday: back to Bradley Fair.  10:49 for the mile.

Friday: it was misty out but we got our mile in (10:02).  Shocker Fitness was fun!

Weekly Chase: Oct 19

Since I took a week off, I'm just going to start with this week's goals. I'm feeling good and I've got to get back into routine.

1) Run. Got to keep the streak alive!

2) Stretch and ice. My foot is still bugging me but I am confident if I stretch and ice daily, I'll feel better.

3) Carb cycling. I've been off this for the past two weeks. I've got my menus planned and am ready to get back into this.

4) Read. I love reading and feel so much more relaxed when I take time to read.

5) Halloween. I need to help L finish her costume and plan out the school party I'm in charge of.

Fitness Friday 10/11-10/17

I'm back! After a busy conference to DC and then a nasty head cold, I've completely missed out on a week. And yes, I know it is Sunday, not Friday, but we all know I'm tardy. :)

Saturday: 1 quick mile (10:02) on the treadmill before heading off to the conference and then home.

Sunday: I was starting not to feel good so I waited until noon and then L and I went and ran (well, she biked).  Gorgeous day!

Monday: Shocker Fitness! I look good-thought I was feeling better. Don't remember my time. Morning was beautiful!-54 degrees

Tuesday: we ran at Bradley Fair.  Such a nice one mile loop.  Time was around 10:20.

Wednesday: Oh-I feel horrible.  My cold was awful.  Slept in and did one slow mile to get the day done.

Thursday: Pam and I ran at BF again.  Hard running-my nose was so congested.  11:20 mile.

Friday: slept in again and ran a quick mile.  My cold was much better but my foot was hurting. Ugh!

Weekly Chase: Oct 6th Edition

So at least this post is only a day behind :).  Sigh-the weekend was so busy and will continue to be busy this week.

Recap:
1. Keep running!Yes!!  I am through day 134.  I even ran 5 miles on Sat.

2. Stretch every day and ice five times in the week: NO! In fact, I didn't ice at all and stretched very little and my body is pretty pi$$#! at me.

3. Continue my daily to do lists:Yes! And this has saved me from going crazy.

4. Minimize social media:I think so.  Sometimes it's hard to tell because I don't keep track.

5. Continue Carb Cycling:Yes.  It was a high carb week all week (so more fruits and snacks!)

Here's this week's goals:

1. Continue running!

2. Stretch every day and start icing. I have done this for the past two days and am already seeing a difference.

3. Continue my daily to do lists

4. Pack for my trip.  I'm going to DC for a conference

5. Learn new things at conference to take back to our practice.

Fitness Friday October 2

Geez! I just realized what a slacker I've been. I'm still keeping up with my running even though I'm not blogging.

Sunday:quick run. So humid! (10:01)

Monday: back to SF. (10:14)

Tuesday: we are enjoying our new running path. (10:19)

Wednesday: campus run and SF/extreme (9:21)

Thursday: it was raining so we ran out mile under the overhang and then went to DD for breakfast. (11:02)

Friday: I slept in so I ran a quick mile. I'll post more on my new light up vest. (12:03)
