Weekly Chase: Week 13

Hello!  I am sure you noticed Fitness Friday was silent, but at least I got the photos up!  Life got busy!!

This weekend was fun.  L and I watched Allegiant.  We like it a lot.  Dinner at Freddy's afterwards was great. Saturday was full of appointments and dance.  I got my hair cut and colored-much needed!
Sunday was Easter and we woke up to 3 inches of snow!! Luckily, it's been warm, so the streets were clear.  We drove to my grandparents in Coffeyville and had a nice visit with them, my uncle Ken and great uncle Charles.

Here's a recap of what I did:

1. Run a mile a day:Yes!!  I finished Day 308

2. Stretch and ice daily: 60% of the time.  

3. Say Grace:Yes! 

4. Read or meditate daily:80%

5. Log my calories daily: 100%

6. Finish a book: No.  I am almost done with 'Grant Park'

 7. Journal every day: No.  

8. Cleaned out the attic: Nope.  

Here are my goals this week!

2. Stretch and ice daily

4. Read or meditate daily
5. Log my calories daily

My four  extra goals: I'm keeping them the same
1. Finish a book
2. Journal every day

Bathroom Time!

AJ has a new obsession: the bathroom sink. When I'm getting ready, she leaps up on the counter and plops down in the sink. Sometimes she wants water. Mostly she wants to sit.

Weekly Chase: Week 12

Spring break is officially over and we have an 11 year old in the house! God help us all!
This weekend, our beloved Shockers lost to Miami.  Their season is over.  I had a hard time accepting this yesterday.  And the weather turned cold.  Ugh.  The struggle is real.


Here's a recap of what I did:

1. Run a mile a day:Yes!!  I finished Day 301

2. Stretch and ice daily: 80% of the time.  

3. Say Grace:Yes! 

4. Read or meditate daily:80%

5. Log my calories daily: 100%

6. Finish a book: Yes! I finished  'Listen Up'.  It was very good and informative.

 7. Journal every day: I did well until the weekend.  Then we got busy.

8. Cleaned out the attic: Nope.  I was going to do this but the weather was cold and the attic would be cold.

9. Stick to my meal plan: Yes!

Fitness Friday March 18 (the late edition)

Some times if I don't write it down ahead of time, I forget what day it is! So here is the late edition of my runs the previous week:

Friday: Shocker fitness inside but mile first (11:19)


Saturday: ran with friends (10:27) total miles 2.92


Sunday: long run! 6 miles by myself and then 4.36 with Mandy. Best mile: 10:43. Avg pace 11:40/mile


Monday: nice morning outside!


Tuesday: we ran outside for almost 4 miles!


Wednesday: shockers kept me up late so a mile on the mill


Thursday: I didn't feel great so I slept in and ran by myself on the mill

What's Up Wednesday

It's spring break. Jeff has been busy painting the garage door and front door. They look awesome! He's moved on to the basement. Tomorrow starts the NCAA tourney so there will be lots of basketball to watch.
On Sunday, I ran with 5 friends in a marathon relay. It was tons of fun except for the pouring rain.






Then we went and had a beer.



I've been playing with this ornery girl. She is so loveable!



And we watched WSU beat Vanderbilt 70-50 last night. Get rested up-they play Arizona tomorrow!

Weekly Chase: Week 11

I'm back!  Sorry for the no post week.  I wasn't feeling it in the middle of the week and I couldn't get my phone blogger to upload photos so there was no cat to show.  Don't worry-she was plenty busy being feisty!

Yesterday we watched South High School Lady Titans win their 4th 6A state title game.  It was awesome!!!  We also ate at a new restaurant in town called Bubba 33.  It was good!

2. Stretch and ice daily: 50% of the time.  

3. Say Grace:Yes! 

4. Read or meditate daily:80%

5. Log my calories daily: No.  I was bad this week.

6. Finish a book: Yes! I finished 'Rosemary: The Hidden Kennedy Daughter'. It was okay.

7. Journal every day: I did well until the weekend.  Then we got busy.

8. Figure out what to do for L's birthday. Pretty much.  We have the gift part done.  I think she's going to have a couple friends spend the night.

Weekly Chase: Week 10

Another week in the books! The weather is warming up.  I'm sorry we haven't had much snow because it's not good for the environment, but I'm not going to lie-running when it's nicer outside is so much more fun!

2. Stretch and ice daily: 50% of the time.  

3. Say Grace:Yes!

5. Log my calories daily: Yes!  I did well with this

6. Finish a book: No.  I am in the process of reading 'Rosemary: The Hidden Kennedy Daughter'

7. Journal every day: No.  This week was off with two major office issues: our building was broken into and our tenant passed away suddenly.  And I was lazy. 

8. Come up with a decluttering plan. Yes.  I have listed a few areas I need to work on in the next month

AJ's New Obsession

This week has been very nice weather wise. The sun is rising by 7 AM so I've been opening the deck door to see what AJ would do.
She is so excited!!!! She climbed the screen a couple times and got into trouble and then she settled down to listen to all the sounds. There are so many birds out.


She also got to see a squirrel


Now every time I come home from working out in the morning, she races to the door and waits, watches and listens. It's so sweet.

Fitness Friday 3/4/16


This week flew by! I had some great workouts this week.

Friday: mile and Shocker fitness

Saturday: ran 3.02 miles.  Chilly run but we got to watch the sun rise.



Sunday: 9.34 mile run.  Man, it was windy! But we had such a good time.  Fastest mile 9:43; average 11:52 minute/mile


Monday: back to Shocker Fitness.  I had an office emergency so I only got my mile in 11:09


Tuesday: nice chilly run.  11:09 for our mile.  We walked the rest.


Wednesday: sleep in day! Which means one mile on the treadmill.
Thursday: nice run this morning.  47 degrees, but windy.  We got it done!

What's Up Wednesday 3/2/16

Not a ton going on in our house. Lucy snagged her toy in her rabies tag and walked all over the house with it until I unhooked it. She must have been mad because a couple days later I found the toy torn into pieces.


Sumo oranges are back. The best orange I've ever had!


Saturday was a beautiful day for a bike ride
