Weekly Chase: Week 9

This weekend went quickly.  It included a 9 mile run, cleaning house, and attending the state wrestling tournament.  We had a great time and the weather was gorgeous!

Here's a recap of what I did:

1. Run a mile a day:Yes!!  I finished Day 280

2. Stretch and ice daily: Yes!

3. Say Grace:Yes! 

4. Read or meditate daily:Yes.

5. Log my calories daily:50% of the time.  It wasn't my best week.  

6. Finish a book: YES!  I finished 'When Breathe Becomes Air'

7. Update the office website: getting there.

8. Come up with a decluttering plan. No.  I have no excuse.

Here are my goals this week!

2. Stretch and ice daily

3. Say Grace
4. Read or meditate daily
5. Log my calories daily

My three  extra goals:
1. Finish a book
2. Journal every day
3. Come up with a decluttering plan.  Our house needs purging!

She is Soaked (Caturday post)

Yes, she is still obsessed with water. This morning she was soaked! She was so wet, when she looked at the floor water was dripping off her head and she was trying to chase that too!

Fitness Friday 2/26


So my Fitness Friday is a day late.  This was a long week and by Thursday night, I was spent. Friday was slammed packed all day and I forgot about this post Friday night.  So here it is now! My running streak continues!

Friday: mile on the treadmill (12:00)

Saturday: what a gorgeous morning to run! I was actually hot in my long sleeves.  3 miles around a lake. Average 12:23/mile.  Fastest mile 11:41



Sunday: a quick mile outside.  It was windy and chilly and no one wanted to run with me. 11:02

Monday: back inside for mile and Shocker Fitness.  Total mileage 4 miles


Tuesday: outside for a chilly run. Total miles 3.87.  Average pace 12:57 and mile running 11:22


Wednesday: mile on the mill.  11:45



Thursday: chilly. And I fell (luckily I didn't tear my pants!) so it wasn't great.  Total miles 2.92. 15:10 average pace and fastest mile 11:41.

What's Up Wednesday

Well, we haven't been up to a whole lot. I spent the weekend at a friend's scrapbooking and watching Scandal.

Of course Inspector AJ made sure they weren't poisonous.


I ate some healthy food:


I've been enjoying watching the sunset when I drive home (I try not to text and drive so no photo there).

Weekly Chase Week 8

This week was long and drawn out.  The silver lining was the weather was Fantastic!! I was so happy to see sun and 70 degree weather.

Here's a recap of what I did:

1. Run a mile a day:Yes!!  I finished Day 273

2. Stretch and ice daily: Yes!

3. Say Grace:Yes! 

4. Read or meditate daily:Yes.

5. Log my calories daily:90% of the time.  I ate and drank extra on Saturday. 

6. Finish a book: YES!  I finished 'Number the Stars'.  It was good. 

7. Get packed for scrapbooking: Yes! I had a great time at Linda's and got caught up on Project Life

8.Finish my audit: Yes

Fitness Friday Feb 19


Another week in the books.  It was a super long week for me.  I'm glad it's the weekend now!

Recap: last Friday! I rested by running one mile on the treadmill.
Saturday: 3 miles around Bradley Fair.  It was super chilly!




Sunday: I had an 8 mile run on the books and it was fantastic!! I ran and fueled well.  The day was beautiful!


Monday: back inside and to Shocker Fitness



Tuesday: brisk but we still went outside.  I am so over running laps on a track.


Wednesday: silly girls and I had a great mile and Shocker Fitness workout

Thursday: windy morning but it was 42 degrees out so it was ok.  My knee hurt after two miles so I called it quits.


My knee feels fine today.  I'm sure it was just tired like the rest of me :).

Weekly Chase Week 7!

Last week was a blast! We had L's school Valentine party Friday.  We played "Minute to Win it" games.  So much fun and the kids loved it.  This weekend we watched 'Deadpool'.  Hilarious!! Not for little kids though.  Yesterday, Jeff gave me a Microsoft Surface tablet for Valentine's day! I love it.  He's a keeper.  I played around on it some.


On to the weekly chase!

Here's a recap of what I did:

1. Run a mile a day:Yes!!  I finished Day 266

2. Stretch and ice daily: Yes!

3. Say Grace:Yes!  I'm getting better at doing this first thing when I eat

4. Read or meditate daily:Yes.

5. Log my calories daily:80% of the time  

6. Finish a book: YES!  I finished 'Simple Givings'.  It was good. 

7. Get everything together for Valentine's Day: Yes! The party was great and Jeff and L loved their gifts

8. Print photos: No.  But I think I have enough to get started this weekend. 

9. Help L get started on her sewing project. Yes.  We cut out the pattern last night.  I was surprised at how I remembered to cut the notches, etc.

Weekly Chase: Week 6!


 Another fun and busy week in the books! I spent the weekend carting L to dance classes and hosted sleepovers all while getting 7 miles in on Sunday! We went to a friend's house for the Superbowl.  I was a little disappointed in the commercials-they just weren't very funny.

Here's a recap of what I did:

1. Run a mile a day:Yes!!  I finished Day 259

2. Stretch and ice daily: 90% of the time.   

3. Say Grace:Yes!  I'm getting better at doing this first thing when I eat

4. Read or meditate daily:Yes.

5. Log my calories daily:70% of the time  

6. Finish a book: YES!  I finished 'Memory Man'.  Very good and creepy.  I kept looking over my shoulder to make sure no one was there.

7. Clean under the sink.Yes! I cleaned it out and now I can see what I need.  I threw away a trash bag worth of stuff.

Fitness Friday! Week 5


What a week.  It seems like it flew by and then took forever!!! But it's finally Friday.  For the first time ever, I forgot my phone on Tuesday.  I ran with the ladies and someone posted it, but I didn't get a snap shot.

Friday: mile, Shocker Fitness and extreme.

Saturday: a quick 2.5 miles in the dark since we all had something to do in the morning. 



Sunday: we went on a 6 mile run.  The wind was atrocious! North wind 15 mph.  So we parked one car at the end and drove to the start and ran South.  It was a great run!!!  We averaged 11:30 minute/mile.

Monday: mile, SF and Extreme.  It was a good hard workout
                                       

Tuesday: no photo :( but I ran about 4 miles!!
Wednesday: sleep in day.  One quick mile on the treadmill.

Thursday: it was too cold outside so we ran indoors at the Y.  Not my favorite workout, but it's done.

Weekly Chase: Week 5

What a weekend!  L performed in the WSU Children's Dance Festival on Sunday and she had dance practice on Saturday and Sunday so I spent the weekend running her around.  She did so well in her piece.  We are so proud of the dancer (and girl) she is becoming!
 

Here's a recap of my goals and how I did:

1. Run a mile a day:Yes!!  I finished Day 252

2. Stretch and ice daily: 90% of the time.   

3. Say Grace:Yes!  I'm getting better at doing this first thing when I eat

4. Read or meditate daily:Yes.

5. Log my calories daily:70% of the time  

6. Finish a book: YES!  I finished 'The Art of Good Habits' and 'Miracles from Heaven'.  Both excellent books!

7. Clean under the sink. No.  The weekend got away from me.
